Jason Abraham top
As Director of Business Development at Heresy, Jason brings nearly 12 years of online/offline marketing communications, Web development, social, mobile, and partner management experience to the company. Most recently, Jason was responsible for partnerships at Bazaarvoice, a leading cloud-based software company, promoting a user-generated content platform to agency partners and their clients.
Prior to that, Jason spent years in New York City, honing his agency skills at places such as Chiat\Day, R/GA, AKQA, and T3 where his experience has included account responsibilities for brands including: JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola, Showtime Networks, Mary Kay Cosmetics, Vivendi Games, Verizon, Nokia, Nextel, SC Johnson, and Jack Daniel’s.
Jason has a Bachelor's of Science degree in advertising from the University of Texas at Austin.
Michael Coury top
With more than 14 years of extensive applications development work for the Web under his belt, Michael is a versatile and experienced technical guru. Prior to Heresy, Michael served as Vice President, Business Development for OM Software Systems where he wrote business plans and proposals for technology-oriented patrons. He has architected and developed a wide range of critical distributed systems, tools, extranets, intranets and desktop applications for numerous demanding entities.
Beyond his strong, user-centric ethic while designing interfaces, intelligent database structures and properly commented code, Michael is known for taking a specification and turning it into a stunning proof-of-concept and final deliverable in a perfectly scalable and maintainable package.
He is constantly immersing himself in content management systems and PHP, VB, VBScript, ASP, IIS, COM, SQL, TCP/IP, and several other annoying acronyms, on his many personal and professional projects.
Larry Goode top
Larry has over 25 years of experience in Web and print design, illustration, and project management. Prior to Heresy, he was a partner in the Austin-based design communication firm, Design Island for many years. Larry brings a refined design sense, acute project management experience, and a clear and concise understanding of communication design to the team.
He has worked at agencies such as Fuller, Dyal & Stamper and Tocquiny Design and for a multitude of clients that include: Dell, Motorola, VTEL, Compaq, Novell, T-3, Enviromedia, Inc. Magazine, and CNN.
John Lambie top
John is one of Asia Pacific’s pioneering digital creative directors, and held the creative reigns within WPP’s marketing and advertising network at agencies such as Bates, XM, 141, and Enfatico between 1996 and 2010.
His multidisciplinary professional background is a mash-up of market research, graphic design, copywriting, illustration, video, photography, multimedia production, user experience and digital strategy. He has conceptualized and designed literally hundreds of unique user interfaces and created content and functionality for a range of sites, apps, devices and platforms across a range of cultures and languages.
John has consulted and produced award winning work for Nokia, Dell, HP, Compaq, Sony, Telstra, Optus, Singtel, Starhub, Mobitel, Visa, Singapore Airlines, MTV, Heineken, Coca-Cola, Audi, Mercedes Benz, News Ltd, and NineMSN and has worked with and managed teams in the US, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, China, India, Japan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Costa Rica, Argentina, and Brazil.
Mike Langton top
Based in Singapore, Mike has over 20 years of experience founding and running some of the most successful marketing services companies in APAC. He was founding CEO of XM Asia Pacific, the region's first and most successful fully digital marketing agency. He has also been regional head of Bates Indochina, 141 Worldwide, Wunderman, and Momentum with on-the ground leadership experience in China, India, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam.
Mike has so far played a leading role in 13 start-ups across the APAC region. Through his consultancy, Innovize, he helps to plan, create and implement profitable innovation in established companies, build successful start-ups to monetize innovative ideas, as well as boost marketing ROI through SoLoMo (Social, Location, Mobile.) He consults on Mergers and Acquisitions through Langton Management.
Ken Mandel top
Ken is an industry veteran in the digital advertising arena serving most recently as VP of Advertising Sales and Marketplace for Yahoo! Asia Pacific. Before that Ken held regional leadership roles with WPP where he served as CEO of XM Asia Pacific, CEO of Neo@Ogilvy and VP of OgilvyOne Asia Pacific. Wherever Ken went his impact was quickly felt. Over a 6-year period at XM, he maintained it as one of the region’s leading digital agencies and grew it to become even more successful. While at Ogilvy, Ken again created a regional force by growing the digital media network from nothing to over 200 people in just 16 months. He also helped lead OgilvyOne to two consecutive Regional Agency of the Year titles and was the founder of the multi award winning Ogilvy Digital Innovation Lab responsible for break through mobile marketing innovations for American Express, Diageo, and Nokia Mobile Phones.
Ken completed his Asia-Pacific Management Post-Baccalaureate Program at Capilano College, Vancouver, Canada and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Psychology from McGill University in Montreal. A digital media veteran and frequent industry spokesperson, he currently serves as the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) Chairman Singapore, SE Asia Chapter and is a board member of the Mobile Marketing Association Asia Pacific after previously serving as the founding Vice Chairman. Ken is also a Board Council Member of Design Singapore under the Ministry of Information, Communications & the Arts (MICA) and was recently appointed Chairman of the Digital Advertising Alliance Singapore (DAA), an initiative of the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA).
Ken, along with his wife, Thet, two young sons, and dog, Hoover, have been residents of Singapore for the past 12 years and consider it home.
Robert Mason top
Rob’s advertising journey has taken him from Atlanta to New York to San Francisco and now finally to Austin, Texas where he has worked at agencies such as BBDO, McCann Erickson, Young & Rubicam, and WPP’s Enfatico.
He brings with him an acute sense for how to make a brand shine having worked with and learned from some of the best in the business throughout his career. Rob started on the general side cutting his teethe on print, television and radio campaigns. It wasn’t until after Al Gore invented the Internet and he moved to San Francisco that he began immersing himself in the digital space.
Rob has worked on some of the biggest and most successful brands in the world including: Microsoft, Apple, Dell, Wal-Mart, PALM, Chevron, Samsung, Wells Fargo, Visa, FedEx, AT&T, HBO, Doritos, Toyota, and The NFL.
Andrew Rosenman top
Andrew is a consultant focused on digital media for cable operators and cable programming networks. Since 2005 Andrew has delivered key products to Comcast Cable, Comcast Interactive Media, Rogers Cable Communications, Rogers Wireless, and Rogers Media. After installing the first online video ad-insertion platform to Comcast Cable in 2006, Andrew was engaged by Comcast to refine the product requirements for interactive television as delivered via the industry standard EBIF methodology.
In 2007, Andrew was asked to take up the effort to create a dynamic ad insertion platform for the Comcast Video on Demand (VOD) platform. As of September 2011 the VOD DAI platform is deployed to over 12M households with NBC Universal cable networks as a pilot programming partner. Beginning in 2008, Andrew has been engaged by Canadian MSO, and leading wireless provider, Rogers Communications to enhance their digital marketing efforts and message platforms. Working in collaboration with the corporate marketing and the Rogers cable product management teams, Andrew developed a prioritized marketing matrix and playbook for messaging across Rogers.com and alternate marketing online, offline, and retail channels. Andrew contributed key product UI/UX requirements for next-generation Rogers online services with the first competitive IP-voice product launching in Q4 2011 under the working label "Thunder Road".
Josh Sklar top
Josh is the founder and President of Heresy, having conceived the virtual agency after years of working for traditional ad agencies, digital shops, and nonprofits.
Josh has been a global digital creative director three times, the most recently for WPP’s Enfatico running the $4.5 billion Dell account. Prior to that, he was the Chief Creative Officer of WPP’s lead digital agency, BLUE, and spent more than six years at XM, the e-services division of the Cordiant Communications Group and Bates Advertising, in various senior capacities including as its worldwide Chief Creative Officer. He was a founding employee of XM’s Asia Pacific operation and held dual roles as its Chief Executive Officer and Executive Creative Director before transferring to XM’s New York headquarters.
While in Asia, Josh and his team, including several Heretics he still works with, took XM to the top of the industry over a period of five years by winning regional Agency of Record status for clients such as: Nokia Mobile Phones, Compaq, Visa, Singapore Airlines, Cisco, Heineken, and ESPN. Other clients Josh worked on include: Coca-Cola, General Motors, Mercedes-Benz, Pfizer, Accenture, Hyundai, Benadryl, the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD), Sauza Tequila, the United States Department of Defense, Polycom, P&G, Cisco, Starwood Hotels, J&J, HSBC, Singapore Telecommunications, CNBC, Discovery Channel, British American Tobacco, and many others.
Through his direct work with these clients, Josh garnered more local and international industry and user awards than any other digital CD in the region and had the honor of being the first Creative to be invited to sit on the Clio International Festival’s new media jury and is currently a juror for The Webbys.
Josh has been inducted into the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences as he has been on the Internet and involved with telecommunications and programming for over 35 years. In fact, he designed and built one of the first commercial bulletin board systems back in 1982, a real-time chat system in 1986, and one of the first Web-based online stores in early 1994. His multi-faceted talents in the areas of technology and creative services have enabled him to work with a myriad of organizations in roles ranging from Pre-Press Consultant to Online Digital Video Editor. He has worked on the ground in these capacities in the United States, Israel, Indonesia, and Singapore, running offices in every region of the world.
Harish Vasudevan top
Harish brings with him 25 years of planning, executing and consulting experience for some of the biggest brands in the world. He has served as the President of OgilvyOne Worldwide and the Managing Director of Enfatico Asia Pacific. From creating massive breakthrough brand campaigns for clients such as Dell and IBM to managing P&L for both large and small companies, Harish continues to be an advocate for and pioneer in applying the latest digital and traditional marketing techniques to all of the brands he has helped build.
Harish’s career has taken him from India to China to Singapore where he's been working in a regional capacity and understands the dynamics of the various markets in Asia Pacific. He is a great collaborator who understands both the global and local dimensions of doing business. An avid blogger, Harish always has an opinion on the latest marketing and communications techniques.
